Well, I did it. I spent the better half of the afternoon looking around, and it turns out that the reason I was having trouble exporting via RSS was that I wasn’t using a valid reader to save the file. Believe it or not Internet Explorer saved me. For some reason Wordpress wouldn’t import the same file saved from Firefox. Jeez… Anyway, I got my blog migrated over but wasted a lot of time doing it. Now I just have to go about cleaning up old posts, re-uploading pictures, and deciding on a new layout. I’d like to keep the new theme as open as possible but who knows… there are a lot of things regarding web design that I have to learn. There are a lot of possibilities that I have now as well.

I suppose this is a sort of closing in and closing out for my Blogsome blog. I spent almost three years here and am in a much different place than in the August of 2005. Hell, in six months I’ll have my M.A.

I’m looking forward to the future…

Speaking of which, I have quite a bit more direction than I did three years ago. Of course, this direction hasn’t been entirely up to me, but the imporntant choices have been mine and I’m thankful for that. I’m blessed to be in a field that is constantly in flux. I’m interested to see how new media and technology influence higher education during my lifetime. I have a solid resume’ and the chance to improve my additional credentials. That said, I’m wondering where the job hunt is going to take me, but I’m not worried anymore. I’ve been here before.

All that’s left to do is go though the motions. Of course, these particular motions make today different than the others.
